Janus Unveils AI-Powered “Climate Finance Intelligence” Platform to Fast-Track National Climate Action

Janus Advisory unveils development of AI-powered “Climate Finance Intelligence” platform to fast-track national climate action.

New capability evolves the “Climate Finance Copilot” into a strategic intelligence hub. Janus Advisory leverages agile innovation to deliver solutions faster than traditional institutional cycles.

MIAMI, FL — November 26, 2025Janus Advisory, a leader in climate finance technology, today announced the development of the Climate Finance Intelligence platform. This advanced AI capability is being engineered specifically to empower national coordinating bodies in Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Least Developed Countries (LDCs). Currently in the prototyping phase, Janus Advisory is launching an early feedback round, inviting Ministries of Environment, Nationally Designated Authorities (NDAs), and climate consultancies to collaborate on refining the tool.

The Urgent Challenge: Operationalizing Country Ownership

According to officials at the Green Climate Fund (GCF), despite years of investment, the concept of “Country Ownership” remains problematic; it has not yet matured into a sustained system of national leadership and strategic coordination. To address this, the GCF is pivoting toward Country Platforms—a programmatic approach where institution building is the cornerstone. While the GCF is committing to long-term support for SIDS and LDCs—including Readiness funds and direct funding to operationalize national Secretariats—financial resources alone are insufficient without the right infrastructure.

The Case for Agile Innovation

While climate finance infrastructure has traditionally been built by large multilateral institutions, the rapid pace of the climate crisis demands a new approach. Janus Advisory proposes Climate Finance Intelligence as the necessary technological infrastructure to make the GCF’s Country Platforms highly efficient. “Large institutional donors provide the essential capital and policy frameworks, but the technology to access those funds is often slowed by years of bureaucratic processing,” said Oliver L. Barrett, Founder of Janus Advisory. “The climate crisis does not respect bureaucratic timelines. We can prototype, field-test, and deploy state-of-the-art AI solutions in months, not years, providing SIDS and LDCs with the immediate tools they need to build stronger pipelines.” The platform is designed to:

  • Empower National Actors: Shift power back to the country level by drastically increasing data capacity to include knowledge discovery and dissemination.
  • Enable Whole-of-Society Planning: Anchor climate strategy in the core government while breaking down silos between ministries, private sector, academia, and civil society.
  • Embed Results: Move beyond planning to active project implementation, monitoring, and learning.
